A recent study from Canada has shown that the number of hours spent watching TV between two years and four years old can have a detrimental effect on the size of a child’s waistline by the age of 10. The study, which was published in a BioMed Central journal, looked at the television habits of 1,314 children. How does the CSA affect your kids health?

Filed under: News — Posted by: Mark on January 18, 2026

The Child Support Agency in the UK was originally set up with a view to ensuring that children from broken families receive regular maintenance payments from the non-resident parent in order to live. However, it quickly became apparent that the task was too great for any single organisation to handle, and with the CSA reportedly costing 70p for every £1 recovered, it has proved something of a colossal failure. The failure of the CSA has reached such a level that the new coalition government announced last year that it would be closed down, and its staff and responsibilities merged with the DWP.

Despite this however the CSA will still exist in some form, and it will still be chasing parents for money, mishandling cases and, in many cases, causing parents to end their own lives at the thought of not being able to support (more…)

As many people are trying to economise, with job losses being rife, the cost (more…)
