Jordan embarks on divorce number two

Katie Price has filed for divorce from husband number two, Alex Reid. The couple lasted only 11 months, after tying the knot in February 2025. Katie, aka Jordan, has three children who are almost as famous as their mum after being thrust into the limelight on her television reality show. Peter Andre is the father of Junior and Princess, while footballer Dwight Yorke is the father of Harvey. As Katie files for her second divorce, she introduces her children to a new man in her life, Leandro Penna.

Divorce has been shown to have a huge impact on children, causing insecurity, anger, sadness and confusion. Although Katie’s children are very young, what effect will her lifestyle have upon her kid’s health? Photographs of Leandro carrying Junior in his arms to attend an X Factor tour meet and greet, show a smiling Junior with a hairstyle which mimics Leandro. This could have been whimsy on the part of Katie, but it could also have been Juniors attempts at striking a friendship with the new addition in his life.

The text books all tell you how to proceed with a divorce that will leave your children emotionally intact and secure, but just how difficult is this in practice, and can anything be done to minimise the harmful effects of divorce on kids? Harvey in particular appeared to become very attached to Peter Andre, who wrote a song for his stepson. Then along came Alex, and now Leandro which is all bound to be confusing for him.

Although Katie should be allowed to live her life as she pleases, her children are being thrust into the media spotlight, whilst being immediately introduced to the men in Jordan’s life. Perhaps it would be better for the kid’s emotional wellbeing if they were only introduced to Jordan’s suitors when they were likely to become a permanent fixture in their life. However, according to the media Jordan has reportedly said that she will get wed 40 times if that’s what it takes to meet the right man. Presumably, the comment was not intended to be taken seriously…
